The goal of the present Privacy Policy is to inform you on the way Association fata processes your personal data and to enable you to exercise your rights on that data.

Art. 3: What personal data is processed by Association fata and when is it collected?

fata.school presents the association and its activities. It currently provides no account creation, registration form or online payment. When you contact us by email, we receive your address and the information you choose to send so that we can respond. The site uses PostHog to measure audience without cookies: pages viewed, browser errors, loading performance, and where visitors click or move on a page. No cookie or browser storage is used, no identifier is kept from one visit to the next, and no session recording takes place.

Technical information, including IP addresses and request information, may be processed by the hosting infrastructure to deliver and secure the website. This policy covers this website and related contact requests; services available through external links, including fata.dev, have their own information and conditions.

Art. 4: For what reasons Association fata processes my personal data?

We process correspondence to respond to your requests and technical information to operate, maintain and secure the website. Audience measurement tells us which pages are read and which errors visitors encounter, so that we can improve the site. We collect only information relevant to these purposes and do not use it for incompatible purposes without informing you beforehand.

Art. 5: What are the legal foundations of processing my personal data?

Responding to contact requests, operating and securing the website, and measuring audience without cookies rely on the association's legitimate interests. Where applicable, processing may also be necessary to meet a legal obligation or handle a request to exercise your rights. If a particular processing operation requires your consent, we will request it beforehand and you may withdraw it.

Art. 6: Am I obligated to give my personal data?

You can read the website without creating an account or completing a form. Contacting us by email is optional. If you request a response, we need a reply address and enough information to understand your request.

Art. 7: How do I manage my preferences in terms of cookies?

A “theme” cookie remembers your light or dark display preference for up to one year. You can delete it in your browser settings. The language is determined by the page URL; this site does not use a language cookie. Audience measurement uses no cookie and stores nothing in your browser.

Art. 8: How long will my personal data be retained?

We are committed to retain your personal data only for the period necessary for the purposes of the relevant processing.

This retention period will necessarily vary with the type of data and processing at hand.

Some legal dispositions also force us to retain your personal data for a minimum duration.

At the end of this period, unless you indicated otherwise, we will delete your personal data or anonymize it for statistics purposes.

Access to correspondence and technical information is restricted to authorized people who need it for the purposes described above. We use secure connections and protect access to our administration tools. This website does not store visitor account passwords.

Art. 10: Where is my personal data stored?

The website runs on Fly.io infrastructure in the Paris region (cdg). Cloudflare provides DNS for the domain. Audience-measurement data is sent to PostHog's United States cloud (us.i.posthog.com), a transfer outside the European Union. This server location does not mean that all provider logs, support operations or email correspondence are processed exclusively in France or the European Union.

Art. 11: With who does Association fata share my personal data?

Hosting, DNS, email and audience-measurement service providers may process information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information where a legal obligation requires it.

We restrict sharing to the stated purposes, use providers offering appropriate data-protection guarantees, and do not sell your personal data.

Art. 12: Who are the recipients of my personal data?

Only authorized members of the association who handle your request or operate the website, and the service providers needed for those tasks, have access to the relevant information.

Art. 13: What are my rights with respect to my personal data?

Because of our activity, we perform various processing of your personal data. However, you remain the master of your data and how it is used.

This is why you have the following rights for your personal data:

  • You can update or ask for the erasure of your personal data;
  • You can object the processing of your personal data;
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time;
  • You can request the communication in interoperable format of all your personal data processed by Association fata to exercise your right of data portability.
