MIABE Hackathon: supporting talent on a larger scale

A hackathon starts well before the first line of code is written as a team. Participants need to be able to prepare, identify those who are ready for the next steps, and bring together complementary skills. It was to support these stages on a larger scale that we worked with the MIABE Hackathon 2026 team.

We put the fata application at the service of the training and qualification phase. The challenge brought together 1,440 participants. Among them, 1,277 practiced on the application after registering, during the challenge period. Web development, Python, and Dart hold an important place in their learning.

The data also allows us to look at this work more closely. During the challenge period, its participants answered nearly 593,000 questions and completed a total of 8,018 modules.

This training opened a concrete door: only qualified participants could proceed to the next phase of the hackathon. Each of them received free Pro access as well as a PDF certificate in the colors of fata and the MIABE Hackathon, to recognize the journey completed.

We also provided organizers with a tool to generate balanced teams. Supporting a hackathon also means giving those who organize it the means to transition from many individual journeys to collective work.

Thanks to the MIABE Hackathon team for their trust, and to the participants for the work accomplished. This collaboration gives concrete form to what we want to build with fata: opportunities to learn, demonstrate skills, and put them to the service of a project.
