Coming together in Accra to celebrate learners’ work

On Saturday, November 1, we met fata × GDG Accra challenge participants at Chubo Restaurant in Accra for the prize ceremony. Held after DevFest, the gathering recognized the work learners had put into the app over the preceding weeks.
Between September 15 and October 27, 2025, 297 people joined the challenge. Of those, 287 practised on fata after joining, during the challenge period. For us, that step into practice is what makes this collaboration with the GDG community meaningful.
The ceremony photographs capture the presentation of awards. They also remind us that learning in an app can be part of a community where people meet in person and their efforts are recognized.
